The Little Mermaid

Mark your calendars for upcoming auditions for The Little Mermaid at MDA! We will be holding in-person auditions on March 15 at 4:00 pm. The cast will be announced on March 20 and everyone who auditions is cast!

We NEED a large cast this year, so please bring a friend to audition!

If your friend chooses to participate, your production fee is only $50*.

If you prefer not to sing, you can still be apart of the magic! We will begin auditions with a group dance and if you truly want to only be in ensemble, you can stay and watch the rest of auditions or head out.

AUDITIONS

March 15 at 4:00PM
Prepare a 1-minute solo performance of a song from The Little Mermaid.
We will provide karaoke backtrack music. Bring lyrics if you want.
If you prefer not to sing, you can still be a part of the magic!
Make sure your hair is pulled back from your face.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
You will be asked to read from a script as a group and learn a short musical theater dance number.

PRODUCTION DETAILS

The production will be a rendition of Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Performance date is June 28!

Please note, there is a $75 production fee* due to the scope of the set design and costuming.

REHEARSAL

Mondays from 5-5:45PM starting March 31.
Saturday rehearsals will be held from 10-12PM starting on March 29.
Beginning May 3, Saturday rehearsals will be from 9-1PM.

*If the production fee is cost prohibitive, please reach out for options.
